b. mckee
hey all. it is with a very heavy heart that i write this next post. i’m still a little bit at loss for words truly.
Our friend and musician extraordinaire, Brandon McKee, has passed away. The news is shocking and I’m still taking it in. I had the privilege recently of really reconnecting with B and he played the leading man in a video we are going to release for our song, “Loverboy” in which his vocals are also apart of. He’s also the male voice on our song “Juice”. When the time is right, we’ll be releasing the video, and the song will be free to anyone who would like to have it. B you are going to be missed like crazy. You shined so bright and you’ve left your imprint on so many. You were one of a kind and far to young to be taken from us this way. I will keep you in my heart and I will cherish the time I have gotten to spend with you deeply. Keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts please.
Stars….
Have a good week everybody.
Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics. You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded. Because the elements, the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars. And the only way they could get into your body is if the stars were kind enough to explode. So forget Jesus. The stars died so you could be here today.
Sleep
Something nice for your Sunday.

Variation On the Word Sleep
I would like to watch you sleeping,
which may not happen.
I would like to watch you,
sleeping. I would like to sleep
with you, to enter
your sleep as its smooth dark wave
slides over my head
and walk with you through that lucent
wavering forest of bluegreen leaves
with its watery sun & three moons
towards the cave where you must descend,
towards your worst fear
I would like to give you the silver
branch, the small white flower, the one
word that will protect you
from the grief at the center
of your dream, from the grief
at the center. I would like to follow
you up the long stairway
again & become
the boat that would row you back
carefully, a flame
in two cupped hands
to where your body lies
beside me, and you enter
it as easily as breathing in
I would like to be the air
that inhabits you for a moment
only. I would like to be that unnoticed
& that necessary.

Heyyyy ho. So, I was kickin it at the Radio Dept. show tonight and the amazing Aaron Axelsen from Live105 mentioned to me that someone had asked about Tigercat on his facebook…
Being the egomaniac that I am, I had to know what they said…”was it good… was it bad… did they call me fat again…” hahahaha. Actually they said super nice shit and I want to share.
And to answer the question Mick, YES OUR EP IS ALMOST DONE. and we are so f’in excited about it. we are gonna party hard once it’s out. i hope you will join us. don’t be offended if i can’t remember your name. or mine.
